Final plans in place for Irish rugby open training session in Monaghan

Rugby news and the Irish team are continuing their preparations here in Monaghan ahead of their 6 nations clash with France on February 25th.

Joe Schmidt and his side are having a behind closed doors training session today (Thursday) before the open one tomorrow morning at the Monaghan Rugby club grounds in Rafeenan Ballinode.

That event is all ticket with up on 3,000 expected to attend.

Sammy Mealiff is chairman of the club and he explained that there will be plenty happening on the day including opportunities to meet the players.

Those attending are asked to avail of the parking arrangements been made available in Ballinode and also the free shuttle bus service that will be operating from the Newgrove Business park.
