Monaghan County Council have been allocated over €1.6 million for local authority housing.
Local Minister Heather Humphreys has welcomed the funding, which has been approved for the acquisition of 12 local authority houses in Smithborough. Housing Minister Eoghan Murphy approved the funding under the Rebuilding Ireland Plan, which is designed to tackle the country’s housing shortage.
Minister Heather Humphreys paid tribute to the staff in the housing section of Monaghan County Council following the announcement.
