25 new jobs are to be created at McCarren Meats in Cavan.
It’s after its parent company Kepak Group signed a deal with a Chinese distributor to sell its products in the country.
Kepak recently signed a five year deal, worth €35 million with distribution company Esen Agro Group.
It follows the recent announcement that products from the McCarren facility in Cavan had been approved for sale in China.
25 new jobs are expected to be created in Cavan, as part of a €3 million investment programme – this’ll see capacity increased.
Kepak bought a majority stake in the company in 2013.
Managing director of Kepak John Horgan says the announcement “copper fastens the future of McCarren Meats”.
