The worst affected is Cork University Hospital where there are 46 people lying on makeshift beds.
There are 68 people waiting on trolleys today in hospitals servicing the Northern Sound region, 22 people are waiting in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda and 20 people are waiting at Sligo Regional Hospital.
