Anxious wait for Leaving Cert students but advice is to keep calm

The wait is almost over for Leaving Cert students across the country.

The results of this year’s exams will be released tomorrow and the anxious wait for college places begins.

This is the first year of the new marking system, which sees the old grades using letters replaced with a new scale with eight grades – the highest being Grade 1 and the lowest Grade 8.

Over 1,700 students sat the Leaving in Cavan and Monaghan in June.

Rose Tully from the organisation PEACH – Parent’s Education And Children’s Health – has this advice for parents and students alike:
