Bus drivers in Monaghan concerned over the future of Bus Éireann

Bus drivers in Monaghan are concerned over the future of Bus Éireann.

Strike action by drivers came to an end last Thursday following 21 days of strike.

A labour Court recommendation was delivered to the unions last week and Bus Éireann drivers have yet to be balloted on it.  However, James McKenna, a bus driver in Monaghan town says that workers believe it’s Government policy to shut down Bus Éireann and privatise it.
