28 students from a County Monaghan school recently attended the European Parliament through a Europe-wide competition.
The 27 fifth year students and one transition year student from Our Lady’s Secondary School in Castleblayney entered the Euroscola competition with a video documenting their lives on the border, and the fears that Brexit brings to the region.
The Wider View reporter Aaron McElroy visited the school to speak to four of the students who travelled to Strasbourg - Caoimhe Gibbons, Lochann Toner, Leah Haughey and Ethan O’Gorman, as well as the teacher who accompanied them, Dr Patrick Mulroe.
