Cavan and Monaghan Roses take to the stage in Tralee tonight

The Cavan and Monaghan Roses will be taking to the stage in Tralee tonight to find out if they are among the first 16 qualifiers to make it to the live TV selections next week.

Cavan Rose Paula McPartland and Monaghan Rose Maria Murnaghan are representing the Northern Sound region at the annual festival, which is celebrating its 58th year.  This year’s Yorkshire Rose – Aisling McArdle – a native of Kingscourt – will also be vying to make it to the live TV selections on Monday and Tuesday.

64 Roses will gather on stage this evening at the Rose of Tralee Festival for the announcement, which will be made by last year’s Rose Maggie McEldowney.  The Longford Rose, Laura Ward, says the Rose Tour and the Festival have been a major learning experience.
