A Cavan woman has been appointed as one of the main people coordinating the World Meeting of Families 2018.
Dublin has been chosen by Pope Francis to host the 9th World Meeting of Families next year from the 21st to the 26th of August. Held every three years, this major international event brings together families from across the world to celebrate, pray and reflect upon the central importance of the family.
Brenda Drumm – a native of Belturbet – has been working as Communications Officer with the Irish Catholic Bishops’ Conference since November 2000. She has today been appointed as the Media Manager for the international event. Speaking to Northern Sound News, she says that Pope Francis has a deep love for the Emerald Isle.
