The clock is ticking for the public to vote for their best food destination for 2017.
The Foodie Destinations competition is an all-island competition which celebrates the unique food offerings around the country. Last year Monaghan finished in the top 10 of the competition.
This year’s Foodie Destinations winner will be a destination that promotes activities such as food festivals, gourmet trails or farmers’ markets as well as great dining experiences for locals and visitors alike. Public voting in the competition – which accounts for 50% of the overall marks – closes on tomorrow, and the Foodie destinations judges will be in town on Friday to examine what’s on offer locally.
Adrian Cummins is the Chief Executive of the Restaurant Association of Ireland, and he explains that it’s not all about clinching the top spot.
People can cast their vote for Monaghan before 12 noon on Thursday August 10th using the link below.
