A Fine Gael Councillor welcomes the increase in roads funding for County Cavan

A Fine Gael Councillor has welcomed the increase in roads funding for County Cavan.

Transport Infrastructure Ireland has allocated €6.8 million (€6,850,892) to Cavan, an 8 per cent increase on the previous year.

The majority of Cavan’s allocation is going towards works on the N55 Cavan to Granard road, between Corduff and Killydoon – €4.3 million will be spent there.

€1 million will be spent on improvement works on the Belturbet bypass, with €400,000 going to improvements on the Main Street in Virginia.
