The Monaghan U21 team will get their first taste of competitive action of 2017 this Saturday (28th) when they take on Derry in Cloghan at 4pm in the Shamrock Cup.
Ciaran Mc Brides side who are the current Ulster champions will also have games against Louth and Armagh.
The competition is seen as a good preparation ahead of the first round of the Ulster championship on March 8th when the Farney side will take on Antrim.
