Former player says foundation will keep Sean McCaffrey’s name alive

“Something had to be done to keep the name of Sean McCaffrey alive.” That is according to Paul Smyth who played under the late Monaghan man and was one people involved in founding the Sean McCaffrey foundation.

The foundation will launch on June 3rd with a gala dinner and will fundraise for three causes close to Sean’s heart – working with young people, supporting dialysis patients in Cavan General Hospital and supporting animal welfare groups.
Speaking to Northern Sound News, Paul Smyth said Sean had a way of connecting with everyone he met.
