The funeral of a local teacher who died in a road crash recently is taking place around now.
55 year old Mona Clarke was an English teacher in Beech Hill College in Monaghan town.
She died after being hit by a car on the N2 near Castleblayney on Saturday.
Beech Hill College issued a statement paying tribute to her, saying she had “a kind word for everybody” and “truly cared about her friends and students”.
Mona Clarke’s funeral is taking place in Saint Mary’s Church in Castleblayney, with private cremation this afternoon.
