Gardai are investigating after a hit and run in Dublin city centre this morning.
A man in his 40s was run over by a car on Parnell St at around 12.20am – a number of men then got out of the car and assaulted the victim.
He was taken to the Mater Hospital with serious head injuries.
Gardai are looking to trace the movements of the car involved, a green or blue Audi Saloon which drove off towards Summerhill.
