HEAR MORE: Families shouldn't have to hear bad news in hospital corridors

A Cavan father is holding a Honda 50 run this Sunday to raise funds for a family comfort room in memory of his daughter.

Niamh Crosby died of Ovarian Cancer in 2016, and her father Peter is hosting a fundraiser on her anniversary, to raise awareness of the condition.

He said that a family care room has been built and furnished in St James' Hospital and they are hoping the money raised will allow them to complete the room.

He thinks that these rooms should be in all hospitals to avoid families having to hear bad news in corridors.
