As the hot weather continues, more and more people are visiting local amenities like lakes and parks.
Photos were posted online of rubbish left by the lake in Virginia at the weekend which showed an array of rubbish including pizza boxes and cans.

Mags Matthews from Virginia Tidy Towns says that this is only the tip of the iceberg as it's commonplace to find discarded towels, bags and other items around local lakes.
