The head of a United Nations investigation into violence in Myanmar has asked the organisation's Human Rights Council for more time to look into allegations of mass killings, torture and the use of landmines.
Marzuki Darusman says he's still waiting for permission to enter the country.
Myanmar's ambassador says the investigation is "not helpful", and insists they are trying to restore peace.
Charity Médecins Sans Frontières says it hasn't been granted access to the country to to alleviate massive humanitarian needs in Rakhine State.
The call for urgent access comes amidst the ongoing military operations in Rakhine, which started in late August.
