Investigations are continuing after three men were arrested at Dublin Airport in connection with illegal human trafficking.
Two Aer Lingus staff allegedly tried to smuggle a non-EU national into the country last night.
A foreign national arrived at Dublin Airport last night and gardaí acted on intelligence that two Aer Lingus staff were going to help to smuggle him into the country.
They were arrested in an operation that also involved the searched of property and vehicles.
Gardaí are now working to establish if other illegal immigrants may have gotten into Ireland via this route.
The two Aer Lingus staff and the foreign national arrested remain in Garda custody this evening.
