Irish Rugby team overwhelmed by welcome in Monaghan

The Irish team have completed their training break in the Northern Sound region with an open session at the Monaghan Rugby club this morning (Friday).

Thousands turned out at the Ballinode venue to see Joe Schmidt put his side through their paces with a short game also played between the senior side and the Under 20’s

Speaking afterwards the head coach was over whelmed by the welcome they had received over the past few days while based in Monaghan 

Irish and Ulster flanker Ian Henderson was also wholesome in his praise of the support they had been given.

 The Irish camp will now return back to Carton house and continue their preparations for the arrival of France on February 25th.
