Three men from the local region have been elected to the SIPTU Electronics, Engineering and Industrial Section Committee.
It’s the first time that three representatives from the Cavan and Monaghan have been elected to the posts.
Declan Martin from Carrickmacross and Ian Keegan from Ballyconnell were elected while Noel Finn from Cavan Town was re-elected the Chairman of the committee.
SIPTU Electronics, Engineering and Industrial Production Section represents over 10,000 workers in the Republic and Northern Ireland.
