‘The EU-Canada Trade Deal known as CETA is a flawed deal that will negatively impact Irish Farmers.’
That’s according to Sinn Fein MEP Matt Carthy speaking in the European Parliament in Strasbourg which today voted in favour of the Comprehensive and Economic Trade Dead.
Those in favour of CETA say it will boost EU economies and provide much needed trading opportunities with Canada.
MEP Carthy voted against the deal and says that anyone who voted in favour of it, voted against Irish farmers:
