Local Minister talks Brexit with UK politicians and businesses

Local Minister Heather Humphreys visited London yesterday to meet British politicians and businesses.

She says the aim of the trip was to “reinforce bilateral trade and investment relations” and support companies facing the challenges of Brexit.

Concern is growing due the lack of a permanent agreement on the border, with the UK leaving the EU at the end of March.

Minister Humphreys met with the Secretary of State for International Trade Liam Fox as part of her trip, to discuss bilateral trade – he’s one of the loudest voices in the British cabinet calling for a hard Brexit saying the country needs a “clean break” from Brussels.
