A local TD has described the Government’s Broadband Plan as a shambles.
Fianna Fail Deputy for Cavan and Monaghan Brendan Smith has slammed the Communications Minister after it recently emerged that the roll out of Broadband to rural communities will not take place until 2019.
It’s expected that the National Broadband Plan won’t come on stream until at least 2019 until 300 thousand homes are connected on a commercial basis with Eir.
Deputy Brendan Smith says the current delays are indicative of the Government’s dismissive attitude to rural Ireland.
