Malachy O’Rourke will remain in charge of the Monaghan footballers until 2020 after agreeing to a one-year extension on his previous deal.
Monaghan GAA tonight announced O’Rourke was ratified to stay on as manager at a County Committee Meeting on Monday following a season in which he guided the Farney to a first All-Ireland semi-final since 1988.
O’Rourke delivered Ulster titles for Monaghan in 2013 and 2015 since he was first appointed to the position.
