The Rural Affairs Minister will be in Virginia later to update on the Government’s progress on implementing its Action Plan for Rural Development.
The plan was launched earlier this year and aims to implement 276 actions, in a bid to rejuvenate rural areas across the country.
€60 million is to be invested through the plan but critics say some of its measures were already announced as part of other projects.
Minister Michael Ring will update on progress at the Virginia Agricultural Show this afternoon.
