Monaghan progress to Super 8’s

Monaghan take their place in the super 8’s with a five point win over Laois in Navan.

The Ulster side were in control in the first half and went into the break leading by 14 points to 1-04. Donie Kingston getting the goal for Laois on the stroke of half-time. Laois though continued that momentum in the second half and with Laois goalkeeper Graham Brody in form  with  six point blank saves. Monaghan only registered five second half points. The Farney army had ten different scorers in the game.

After the game Monaghan manager Malachy O’Rourke spoke to Alan Gunn after the game.
