Monaghan’s new Cottage Market has officially opened for business.
In February, community groups from across the country were invited to apply to the initiative for funding in order to establish and run their very own Cottage Market.
There are twenty new market locations including Ballyconnell in Cavan, and St Patricks Hall in Monaghan town.
The market opened today in Monaghan and this producer says that it not only provides a place to sell wares, but also creates a craft community in the town:
