New anti-drugs strategy for Monaghan being launched today

A new plan to tackle the misuse of drugs and alcohol in County Monaghan will be launched this morning.

Minister of State Catherine Byrne will launch the Monaghan Drugs and Alcohol Strategy for 2017-2021 in Castleblayney.

The document is the result of work done by the Monaghan Drugs and Alcohol Forum and aims to address some of the significant issues resulting from the misuse of drugs and alcohol in the region.

The Garda√≠ and the HSE will also highlight the impact of drugs on people and local communities at today’s event.
