‘Newly refurbished residential centres are facilities residents can be proud of’

The refurbished Virginia Community Health Centre and St Marys Residential Centre in Castleblayney are facilities residents and staff can be proud of.

That’s the view of the Director of Nursing in Cavan and Monaghan Rose Mooney following the official opening of two newly refurbished residential care centres in the local region yesterday.

€3.5 million was invested in Virginia Community Health Centre while the total cost for St Mary’s Residential Centre was approximately €5 million.

The Minister of State for Mental Health and Older People Jim Daly officially opened the refurbished residential centres in Castleblayney and Virginia yesterday afternoon.

Director of Nursing in Cavan and Monaghan Rose Mooney says staff at both residential centres feel privileged to look after elderly members of society.
