Clones Town Council has been awarded €70,000 in funding to carry out improvements in the town, following recommendations made in a disability audit conducted last year.
Works planned will include the upgrading of disabled parking spaces and pedestrian crossings as well as the introduction of handrails at various places in the town centre.
It's hoped the improvements will be made this month.
The capital has been widely welcomed by local councillors.
