It's believed the NYAH Traditional Festival in Cavan will be worth an estimated €`150,000 to the local economy.
The annual Nyah festival gets underway in Cavan today.
As the county prepares to host the All-Ireland Fleadh this summer -this years event aims to encourage people to get in the mood for the upcoming festival in August.
The Traditional Arts Festival has in its own unique way by bringing towns around Cavan to the centre of the traditional roots music and arts scene.
Now in the seventh year the festival celebrates the traditional music, song, dance and culture of the Breffni County.
Top of the list in artists this year is button accordion legend Joe Burke, who heads a Gala Concert at the Farnham Hotel on Saturday.
The event commences today and will run until March 28th.
