A district nurse in Co Cavan is hitting out at the government’s decision to pull disability payments from the most vulnerable.
The coalition cut the mobility grant scheme – along with the motorised transport grant – last week after it was found to be illegal because eligibility for the allowance discriminated against the over 65s.
Phena is a local nurse who works in Killeshandra.
She says there are plans for a rally against cutbacks within our health service.
And speaking on today’s Joe Finnegan Show, she says the government has yet again targeted the most vulnerable in our community.
