Gardai in Bailieborough are investigating two break-ins at Churches in County Cavan.

Between the 10th and 13th of February, the Church of Ireland at Knockbride was broken into and a safe, which contained two silver communion vessels, was stolen from the vestry.

A few days later, a similar raid took place at St Ernan’s Church of Ireland where the front door was forced open and the vestry ransacked.

Sergeant Richard Bolger from Bailieborough Garda Station is appealing for information.
