Phase two of the Ulster Canal Greenway will be launched later this morning.
The 26km section, from Smithborough in Monaghan to Middletown in Armagh, follows the towpath of the old Ulster Canal.
Phase one of the project saw a greenway constructed from the Clones road in Monaghan, through the town centre to the Armagh road.
Phase two will connect with this on its way from Smithborough to Middletown.
Over €4 million in funding was announced for the project, under the INTERREG programme run by the EU
This phase of the project will be officially launched in Monaghan today.
