Cavan and Monaghan Education and Training Board (CMETB) are responsible for the delivery of further education and training in Cavan and Monaghan. These are courses outside of the CAO system (i.e. courses not in the universities and Institutes of Technology). There are several options available in Cavan and Monaghan including apprenticeships, traineeships and focused vocational training courses among a wide range of others. This morning on the Joe Finnegan Show, Sinead McKenna, Apprenticeship and Training Services Manager, Aileen Doherty, Career Guidance Counsellor, Breifne College, Cavan and Martin Lynch, Electrical Instructor, Cavan and Monaghan ETB joined Joe to talk through the options that are available and offered some advice to Leaving Cert Students who were waiting on CAO first round offers this morning.
