Public meeting in Latton will hear of issues with school bus ticket system

It’s hoped a public meeting in Monaghan will highlight the issues of the school bus service in the local region.

Fianna Fail Councillor Seamus Coyle is hosting a meeting in Latton this evening, after number of families who live in the area have been unable to get a school bus ticket, or refused concessionary travel tickets.

He said the government implemented system isn’t working for local families.

Concessionary tickets are allocated on a random lottery basis, with not all children guaranteed a seat on the bus.

Councillor Seamus Coyle said it will be a chance for parents to tell their story.
