Hundreds of secondary students in Cavan and Monaghan were last week faced with the hard reality of fatal traffic collisions today, in an effort to highlight road safety.
Over 300 transition year students took part in the road safety roadshow in the Íontas Centre in Castleblayney.
They were presented with the reality of what happens in a car crash, with presentations from An Gardaí, a paramedic, an undertaker, and Martina Crudden - who lost her son Daniel in 2011 in a car crash.

Sergeant Tony Campbell, who was one of the organisers behind the event, spoke to Tessa Fleming about it.
