Louth 0-13
Cavan 1-6
Louth weathered Cavan's early storm to pick up their second pair of points in Division Three
yesterday afternoon at Drogheda.
Tommy Carr's team had started the match in the best possible fashion when livewire corner-
forward Cian Mackey crashed the ball into the Louth net after just four minutes and David
Givney fisted over moments later to put the hosts under some early pressure.
However, Cavan wouldn't score again until the 35th minute and in that time it was Louth who
took control as two points from the deadly Brian White were backed up by three frees from
Adrian Reid which helped send the Wee County in at the break with a 0-8 to 1-2 advantage.
Louth ended up being relatively easy winners.
