St Mary’s Church is reopening today

A Castleblayney church is reopening today after being closed for over a year to allow for renovation works.

Since June 19th last year, Saint Mary’s Church Castleblayney was closed to allow for work to be carried out to the roof and building.

The community made national headlines after the Saint Maeldoid’s Church of Ireland parish offered the use of its church for the Catholic community to use during the renovations, with both communities sharing the church during the time.

Saint Mary’s Church reopens to the public at 3pm today, with the first mass being offered at 7 o’clock in the evening.
