Still no time-frame for publishing of Interconnector reports

Reports on the North-South Interconnector commissioned by the Energy Minister still haven’t been published.

The independent reviews looked at the feasibility of undergrounding the project and the compensation to be paid to landowners affected.

The reports were commissioned by Minister Denis Naughten and despite Consultants finishing their work earlier this year, the reports haven’t yet been made public.

A spokesperson for the Minister told Northern Sound News “the Minister will be briefing Government on the results of that analysis in the coming weeks” but gave no commitment on a time-frame.
