UPCOMING COURSE at Northern Sound Training Centre, Milltown, Monaghan.
“Introduction to Broadcasting” night class
(run over four weeks, one night per week, two hours per night)
For people of any age!
Commences Thursday 25th February 7pm to 9pm
( for four Thursday nights, ie: 25th February, 4th March, 18th March and 25th March. Note: no night class on Thursday 11th February)
This is specifically designed to 'introduce' participants to the world of radio broadcasting. People who are totally new to the industry will learn about :
-
licensing and regulation of the industry
-
funding: commercials, sponsorships, endorsements, etc.
-
differing radio formats
-
JNLR figures, what they mean, how they're obtained
-
Studio operations, radiomation, cool edit
-
writing for radio, cue sheets, running orders
-
connecting with the listener
These training nights are hugely important for the trainee to get a proper feel for the industry and to demystify the studio setting.
It also acts as a perfect foundation for what is essentially the hands-on nitty gritty of the intermediate and advanced sessions.
Training, which will take place at the Northern Sound Training Centre in Monaghan, will be very 'hands-on' for the trainees and full use made of our two new training studios.
