Two local women are in the running to win a prestigious volunteer award.
Monaghan woman Nicola Shalvey and Marie Smith from Cavan have been nominated by their respective counties to become The Aldi Community Games ‘Golden Jubilee Volunteer’.
Each county has nominated a contender for the award in recognition of the work they have done in the past 50 years.
Online voting has opened and the winner will be announced at the Aldi Community Games Volunteer awards on March 18th.
