Former Eurovision singer from Monaghan Eamon Toal believes boycotting this year’s competition would be crazy.

Tonight Ireland’s Sarah McTernan is taking to the stage in Tel Aviv tonight to compete in the second of this year’s semi-finals. However, the decision for Ireland to send a representative to this year’s competition has been met with opposition from some groups who believe that the country should boycott the event due to events in Gaza and on the West Bank.
