Irelands preparations for their Nations league encounter with Bulgaria on Wednesday evening, has again been hit with Covid 19 issues.
Defender Matt Doherty and Forward James McClean have both tested positive following their 1 nil loss to Wales on Sunday in Cardiff.
In a statement from the FAI, the players have been isolated from the group as per Covid 19 protocols and the HSE have been informed of the development.
Other members of the staff and squad tested negative ahead of the return flight back to Dublin.
Ireland face Bulgaria on Wednesday evening, needing a victory to keep their position in the group and ensure a more favourable seeding for European and World cup draws.
Stephen Kennys side have failed to score in the last 6 games.
