£50,000 recovered in nine searches by PSNI in south Armagh

Detectives from the PSNI Organised Crime Unit conducted 9 searches across Newry and South Armagh yesterday.

During the searches detectives made one arrest and recovered 50,000 pounds in cash, as well as mobile phones and documentation. Detective Inspector Keith Gawley reported that a 20 year old man was arrested on suspicion of offences relating to possession and concealing criminal property. He remains in custody.

The PSNI are appealing for the public to remain vigilant and report anything that may seem suspicious.
