Residents of Cavan Town will now be able to access real-time data about the air quality of the town.
It follows a joint project between Cavan County Council and the EPA which has seen an Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Station installed in the Cavan Town.
The monitoring unit has been installed at the Cavan Courthouse.

It measures and transmits the air monitoring data in real-time, with results presented on the EPA website.
All members of the public have access to this data as well as the national Air Quality Index for Health, which is a grading system that tells users what the air quality currently is in the station nearest you.
