Almost 60 people on trolleys in local hospitals today

58 people are waiting on hospital trolleys in the local hospitals today.

Data for November shows Cavan Hospital saw a 107 per cent increase in the number of people left waiting for admission, last month when compared to November 2017.
Sligo University Hospital saw 117 per cent increase over the same period. INMO figures for today show 58 people waiting on trolleys or chairs locally.

Sligo Hospital has the highest number at 30, followed by Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda with 22. Four people are waiting for admission in Cavan General, with two in Our Lady’s in Navan. Nationally, 512 people are on trolleys across the country.
