Aontú Councillor calls for independent investigation following Bailieborough ‘Do Not Consume’ notice

Aontú Councillor Sarah O’Reilly is calling for an independent investigation into ‘Do Not Consume’ notice which affected the Bailieborough Public Water scheme in December.

Almost 8,000 customers on the Bailieborough Public Water Scheme were affected after “unprecedented” levels of manganese were found in the supply.

At a recent Cavan Council Meeting, Sarah O’Reilly hit out at the lack of communication from Irish Water and said that “all hell broke loose and chaos ensued”.
