Appeal after Church near Armagh-Monaghan border is broken into

An investigation’s been launched after a church on the Armagh-Monaghan border was damaged over the weekend.

A stained glass window was broken at Saint Michael’s Church in Newtownhamilton with a number of vacuum cleaners also stolen.

The incident took place at some point between 8.30 on Saturday evening and 9 o’clock on Sunday morning. The PSNI have launched an investigation and are appealing for anyone with information or who was in the Dundalk road area of Newtownhamilton at the time to contact them.
